MARTIN Steel from the Rotary Club of Butare, South Rwanda, visited while on Annual leave to update the members on the work of Veterinaires Sans Frontiers. This is an organization based in Belgium that instigated the Proxivet Project where the farmers in Rwanda are taught how to keep their animals healthy and thus the community.

In 2008 Malcolm Rickards committed the club to support this 5 year project through a matching grant with our twin clubs of St Ghislain and Crepy and so, in Malcolms memory, it was fitting that Martin was able to explain more about the project to us as it enters it’s last year having successfully educated locals in regard to animal husbandry.
