THE Thurrock Hotel, Aveley, will play host to this year’s final business breakfast event being organised by Thurrock Council with the Essex Federation of Small Businesses.
The free event (7.30am to 9.30am), on Wednesday, 5 December, offers businesses information about the various membership organisations and networking groups available in Thurrock, all of which offer businesses a variety of support services and opportunities to network and do business.
Key speaker will be from one of Thurrock’s major businesses. Daren Batt, the London Site HR Leader at Proctor and Gamble, who will be talking about their local procurement policy.
Council leader John Kent said: “These events have already attracted over 200 local businesses and offered them really useful information and advice on a wide variety of topics from public procurement, apprenticeships and finding contracts, to growing sales and workplace travel planning.”
He added: “Overall, the feedback we’ve received has been extremely positive. We are also delighted to have been able to host each of these events in a different Thurrock venue, showcasing the wide variety available.
“This final event of 2012 will bring together all of the major networking groups and membership organisations operating in Thurrock, to highlight the wealth of support and advice on offer to our business community.”
Confirmed speakers include: Daren Batt, Proctor and Gamble; Graeme Loveland, Thurrock Business Association; Brett Smallcombe, Business Network International; Iain Wicks, Federation of Small Businesses; Louise Ince, Thurrock Network Group; and Elaine Othen, Essex Chamber of Commerce
