IT HAS BEEN a long six month campaign for all the Essex police crime commissioner candidates. The election takes place on Thursday with a return in Chelmsford on Friday.
The Conservative candidate, Nick Alston joined justice minister, Chris Grayling and Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price in West Thurrock on Friday to discuss crime levels in the area.
During the meeting, it was Mr Alston who suggested that court cases that affect businesses should include victim impact statements.
YT caught up with Mr Alston to assess how his campaign had been.
