THERE
was a festive feel to Grays town centre on Thursday (29 November) when they Mayor of Thurrock counted up to the big switch on.
Cllr Yash Gupta was joined by the stars of this year’s Thameside pantomime – Cinderella – to switch on the town’s lights.
Members of the Grays Town Band led the playing of Christmas Carols with the Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley’s Santa and sleigh adding to the holiday spirit.
Grays RNLI and volunteers also joined the fun which culminated at St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church in the High Street where festive fare – courtesy of the Morrison store – was enjoyed by all.
