POLICE are appealing for information after £80,000 worth of Namibian beef was stolen from a freight company in Grays.
The beef was stolen from a refrigerated lorry parked in the yard of Premier Freight Services in Wharf Road, Grays, between 5pm on December 28 and 4am on December 29.
Around ten tonnes of beef was stolen in boxes branded Natures Reserve.
Police have received information to suggest the meat may be being offered for sale in the Upton Park area of east London.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered the meat for sale or who may have any information about who may have stolen the beef to contact them immediately.
