WE USE THE term road map in more ways than one when it comes to describing the vision, Thurrock Council’s chief executive, Graham Farrant has for the borough in 2013.

Mr Farrant is clearly pleased that what he was talking about in theory in 2011, started to become a reality in 2012.

Ships arriving at DP World, approval for large scale developments in Lakeside and Purfleet and the utilisation of the National Skills Academy.

Of course, there is the challenge of straddling two boroughs but Mr Farrant seems to be tackling this with relish.

YT spoke to the chief executive in depth about the challenges and opportunities ahead.

  1. Dear Mr Farrant,
I’ve just viewed your flight of fantasy video and now id like you to personally answer me on this site, as regards to comments on Bio diversity in the borough. Could you explain to me why the two most important bio diversity sites In Thurrock namely the Essex arena and the Ashfield site in Oliver rd that was put through at full council in November last year, On the 90 page document which was really a 390 page document and compiled for the members by targeted consultation . Perhaps you could explain your comments In Your video it seems to me everybody at Thurrock council like to talk the talk but don’t ever walk the walk. So if you could please answer me how you have the Gaul to talk about how precious these sites are in one breath and do the exact opposite in the next, it would be most appreciated. So pretty please with sugar on top , please answer my concerns on this site were everybody can see  and not behind closed doors to be white washed over

    Yours
