THERE doesn’t seem to be a week that goes by without charities receiving the support of Sainsburys in Chafford Hundred.
In the last few weeks, a lot of the local charities that have been doing store-based collections have been popping in to see PR ambassador, Liz Stevens and announcing their yearly totals.
Liz said: “As always we have been overwhelmed with the response! We had The Royal Air Force Association in store to present us with a plaque because in just two days, they raised £735.68.
“It’s really remarkable that even in this age of recession and government cuts, the Thurrock community give generously year on year!”
