FIRE crews were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision near Arena Essex Raceway, Arterial Road, Purfleet.
Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to free a female casualty, working alongside Ambulance Service paramedics.
At 21:20 hrs, crews reported rescue operations were in progress.
The incident was dealt with by 21:39 hrs.
The casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
