Cricket: Barr and Nuttall hit fifties for Stanford

1st XI at Old Southendians

Stanford travelled to Southend to face defeat yet again. Batting first, they could only muster a meager 143 all out.
Old Southend struggled but chased it down for the loss of 5 wickets.

2nd XI at home to Basildon

Stanfords middle order made the foundation of the 160 all out, Mark Nuttall and Greg Barr both hitting half centuries.
Basildon frustrated SLH with 149 for nine in reply, held on for the draw.

3rd XI at Woodford Green

Stanford skittled Woodford Green for 98 and lost 3 wickets chasing it down putting them 4th in the division.

4th XI at Belhus

Belhus were put into bat and made hay, Mike Randall with a superb 111, Mathew Williams 54 and Suhail Shahid 47 from 25 balls left Stanford chasing 252. Peter Victory 50 not out and James Pearn 60, left them with 169 for 6 and the draw.

5th XI at home to Orsett

Matt Hasler took 6 for 49 as Stanford bowled Orsett all out for 161, Harry Hearn with 56.
In reply Stanford had to rely on veteran Chris Sharp who smashed an unbeaten 103 to seal the win.
