DESPITE some apprehension Thurrock breezed through this first hurdle of the FA Cup.

The visitors came close in the second minute when they rattled the Thurrock cross bar but after that Thurrock controlled the game throughout.

Thurrock opened the scoring on 17 mins after being awarded a free kick just inside the visitors half, Brad Warner played the ball forward to the feet of Charlie Stimson who turned and twisted his marker before sending a cross over to the far post, the ball dropped kindly for Jon Nouble to toe poke the ball home from close range.

Felixstowe then lost two players through injury before the break which added nine minutes to the first period.

The second half saw Thurrock consolidate their dominance and when Charlie Stimson put them two in front on 52 mins with a well take goal from just inside the box the game looked won.

Callum Ibe sealed the victory when he ran onto a through ball from the midfield and as the keeper came out to clear the ball he completly missed it leaving Callum with an empty net to blast the ball home.
