DO you know that Thurrock isn’t getting its fair share of lottery funding? – mainly because Thurrock people are not applying for it.
There are several ways in which groups and associations can get arts funding from the lottery. Arts Council England (ACE) are sending one of their advisors to Thurrock to help you apply. Lisa Elmer – ACE Relationship Manager for Thurrock will be at Purfleet on Monday 10th March for a public presentation at 6.30pm. Lisa will advise on the different funds, how much is available, and how you can apply.
The event, which is being hosted by Thurrock Arts Council, will take place in the East Barn at High House Production Park in Purfleet. The 6.30pm presentation is open to all.
Lisa is also offering one to one 30 minutes sessions for groups that have started their application process. These must be booked in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Thurrock Arts Council Chairman John Scowen said “It’s important we have a good turn out from Thurrock and even more important that we apply for, and get, the lottery funding which we are entitled to”.
If you are not able to attend, you can find out how to apply for arts funding online at www.artscouncil.org.uk/funding/
