IT was with great pride that The Rotary Club of Thurrock Gateway welcomed Rotary (District 1240) District Governor (2014/15) Stan Keller to their meeting on Monday evening (7th July) at ‘The Park Inn by Radisson’, North Stifford, RM16 5UE…(We meet here on 1st three Mondays each month @ 7pm- All are welcome…)
It was Stan’s very first visit to a ‘Club Meeting’ since taking up the D.G. role on 1st July and he spoke of RIBI’s aims and targets for the coming year including the continual fight to Eradicate Polio world wide and a new District Initiative to raise awareness of ‘Prostate Cancer’ in men. He also took time to congratulate the club on its sound structure with a wide and varied age range among members ranging from their 20’s into their 60’s and its ongoing success in recruiting new members.
The Rotary International theme this year is ‘Light up Rotary’ and attached is a photo of DG Stan Keller and Club President Claire Pavitt displaying the banner along with more details of our clubs interests.
