Wingate and Finchley 1 v 0 Grays Ath
GRAYS lost by a single goal to high-flying Wingate on Saturday.
But the result was over-shadowed by the sudden departure of manager, Jody Brown, just a few hours after the game.
A single goal by David Knight in the 53rd minute did the damage for Grays and leaves their season at a crossroads.
They are six points from the relegation zone and nine points off the play-offs. You have the feeling that they need to arrest a slide now. They have had a tough run of games and you get the feeling that the boss may have been unsettled for more than a week. Players pick up on things like that. Then again, we could be wrong.
