THURROCK councillor and prospective parliamentary candidate for Thurrock, Tim Aker has welcomed analysis from well-respected academic Professor Matthew Goodwin who has said UKIP are on course to win the Thurrock constituency in May.
Tim Aker said: “The fact that Professor Goodwin highlights Thurrock along with three other seats as the strongest examples of where UKIP can win is welcome news and shows how seriously we are campaigning in the borough.
“My philosophy is simple – UKIP is here for the people. I have already helped a number of residents who have gone to their MP and not had a response. The people are the bosses and that is in stark contrast to the complacent attitude of the other parties who take people for granted. We are here to help.
“The evidence is clear: Thurrock residents can make history by electing a UKIP MP in May. This place has been forgotten but together we can make it unforgettable.”
