CONSERVATION charity the Woodland Trust is inviting families to celebrate Easter at Belhus Chase wood and explore the great outdoors.

The egg hunt – which is being run in partnership with Belhus Woods Country Park – will see children journey through the forest – following clues and solving puzzles until they reach their chocolate prize at the end. As part of the entry fee children will also be entered into an Easter themed colouring competition with a chance to win an additional large chocolate egg and nature books.

Tony Chadwick, site manager at the Woodland Trust said: “spring is one of the most exciting times to be out in woodland – the whole area is transforming and bursting into life. I hope that our Easter egg hunt will show people how fun the forest can be.”

Belhus Chase and Belhus Woods Country Park was once a landscaped park developed by Capability Brown, but it is now a site divided into woodland creation areas, wetlands, ancient woodland and spaces of large open grassland. It’s the perfect spot of spring time picnics and family days out.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Please dress according to the weather conditions on the day and good footwear is a must.

Booking for this event is essential, so to secure your place or find out more email:[email protected].
