THEY were all a bit quiet today but even the slightest comment can indicate what might happen on May 7th.
We put a question out to all candidates about the high winds and traffic chaos.
We simply asked: "What does today’s traffic problems say about the challenges to our roads infrastructure in Thurrock?"
We immediately got a reply from UKIP’s Tim Aker. He said: "It is complete chaos, brought about by a lack of investment and a massive population increase.
"God knows how much money today’s farce has cost Thurrock businesses".
There we are. Job done. Your Thurrock has had (as of 1800 hrs had 20.368 page views) and Tim has availed himself of the opportunity to get the message out there as soon as possible.
We thought he was the going to be the only one who replied and then at the last minute, Labour’s Mike Le Surf, a Spurs fan, came in with a late equaliser.
He said: "If it was chaotic today, then how bad will it be with two bridges closed due to high winds.
"This is why, we must fight against a lower dartford crossing."

The news was released that an internet troll had been given a "harassment warning" regarding "disgusting messages" left on Jackie Doyle Price’s Facebook page as she spent an evening with the police as they tackled the problem of Lakeside cruisers.

Now there are some councillors, who, like to think that the next six weeks, is not really their scene. The direct debit for their allowances still is their scene but not that canvassing business.
So, we will be on the lookout for those "witness protection councillors" To be fair, it might only be one or two but it is hardly fair on the troopers.

The Orsett councillors, Sue and Brian Little, are continuing to campaign to make sure Thurrock is in the room when it comes to the Paramount development across the water in Kent.
So we asked them the obvious question: What is your favourite film.
Cllr Sue Little: Pretty Woman
Cllr Brian Little: The Usual Suspects.
