YT was inundated with photographs of Grays High Street over the weekend (Thank you Audrey).

A Facebook page was launched in order to highlight the problem and call for a public clean up.

On Monday morning, a YT reporter was on his way to a press launch at South Essex College when he noticed a big clean up on the high street.

Thurrock Council has announced that is part of a new initiative.

Thurrock Council has pledged that we will see a difference. It does beg the question: What would they have done, or not done, if no-one had complained?
