SWIMMERS from Thurrock Swimming Club participated in this years Regional Championships held In Norwich.
Azar Aitmarri started off his weekend with a 2 sec PB in the 200 fly and a 7 sec PB in the 400IM. In the 200 breast, Azar achieved a 8 sec PB and another PB in the 1500 free
Lewis Cutting achieved a 3 sec PB in the 200 fly, a 4 sec PB in the 400IM, and a PB in 100 breast. Lewis was 1st reserve in the 200 fly and 400 IM. Lewis achieved a 2 sec PB in the 200IM to finish 5th in the final, another 2 sec PB in the 200 breast finishing 6th overall and a 17 sec PB in the 200 back and PBs in the 200 & 1500 free.
Jack Conroy smashed his PB by 6 seconds to make the 100 back final. He equalled his heat time finishing 6th. Jack achieved a 7 sec PB to finish 3rd in the final of the 200 back and also a 2 sec PB in the 200IM. Jack also achieved a PB in the 50 fly and 50 back.
Aaron Lambie swam a great 200 fly in the heats with a 7 sec PB to make the final. In the final, Aaron improved his time by another second and finished 5th. Aaron also swam to a huge PB in the 100 fly and competed in the 400 free.
Jimmy Taylor achieved a 3 sec PB in the 200 fly to make the final a year under age. Jimmy finished 7th in the final. Jimmy also achieved a best tie in the 100 fly.
James Edgings swam a PB in the 50 free and another lifetime best in the 200 fly. IN the 400 free James finished 6th overall with a 9 sec PB and he achieved a massive PB in the 10 fly
Martine Tran achieved a massive 8 sec PB in the 200 back and a half a second PB in the 50 fly. IN the 100 back Martine achieved a massive 4 sec PB. In the 50 back, Martine improved on her heat time by 0.75 secs to finish 2nd in the final.
Tilly Mayes achieved a 2.5 sec PB in the 50 fly and another best time in the 100 free. IN the 100 breast Tilly achieved a 3 sec PB, 2 secs in the 50 BR, 1.5 sec PB in the 50 free and PBs in the 50 back and 100 fly.
Kiara Marais was slightly outside of her PB in the 50 fly. In the 100 back, Kiara swam to a 2.5 sec PB. In the 100 fly, Kiara achieved another long course PB.
Gracie Mae Martin achieved a 3 sec PB in the 200 IM (1st reserve) and a 1 sec PB in the 200 breast. Gracie also achieved a PB in the 400 IM and a 2.5 sec PB in the 100 breast. In the 800 Gracie smashed her PB by over 1 seconds and another 4 seconds in the 200 free.
Jamie Speers competed in the 50 free and swam just outside of his PB
Mide Olajide achieved a PB in the 50 free, 200 fly (1st reserve) and another best time in the 400IM, 200IM, 50 fly and 100 free. In the 10 fly, Mide smashed his PB and finished 6th in the final
Harrison Jarvis achieved a 5 sec PB in the 100 breast to make the final a year out of age. He then finished 8th in the final. IN the 200breast, Harrison achieved a 7 sec PB to finish 5th in the final. In the 50 breast, Harrison achieved another best time.
Rebecca West achieved a long course PB in the 200 fly and the 100 fly.
Mia Fursedonne swam a great 50 free to beat her lifetime best
