A MAN from London has been charged with the attempted murder of a man in Tilbury on Friday.
Mark Hayes, 36, was also charged with the murder of his mother, Phyllis Hayes, at their address in Idmiston Road, Newham, London, on Thursday.
In addition he has been charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life at the Idmiston Road address.
The charges come after investigations by Essex and the Metropolitan Police.
He will appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 15.
