Grays Ath to play Southend in anniversary clash
The club are pleased to announce that Mark Bentleys Blues will host a Southend United X11 to celebrate our 125th Anniversary.
Newly promoted to League One, Southend United will bring a mix of first team and youth players to the game in what looks set to be a fantastic match and test for Bentley’s squad.
The Anniversary match will be held on Saturday 1st August at Mill Field with a 15:00 Kick-off.
Throughout the day a number of events will be held by the club, more details will follow in the coming days.
A spokesperson said: "We do hope that supporters old and new will come along to the match and celebrate with us. Its a remarkable achievement for the club to celebrate 125 years. Please spread the word to your friends and family and lets make this a day to remember".
Entry prices for the Anniversay match are as follows:
ADULTS: £6.00
CONCESSIONS: £6.00

The club are pleased to announce that influentional central defender Jay Leader has signed for the Blues ahead of the 2015/16 Ryman Premier Season.
Jay played a big part during last years season joining the Blues ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.
Jay has had a number of offers to make the step up to a higher level but has made the choice to stay with Bentley’s Blues and push for promotion this season.
A spokesperson said: "We would like to thank Jay for his commitment to the club and we very much look forward to seeing him in action this season".
