Woodside Academy a dream in Shakespeare Festival

WOODSIDE Academy performed their fabulous interpretation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, at Thameside Theatre on Tuesday 3rd November as part of this year’s Shakespeare Schools Festival.

Other school’s performing on the night were Little Thurrock with their adaptation of Julius Caesar, Gable Hall performed Titus Andronicus and Palmer’s College gave a splendid performance of Macbeth.

Woodside’s Year 6 have performed at the festival over the last three years with year 6 Teacher-Director, Mr Benjamin Sharp who this year once again staged a superb concept using colour and music enthralling the whole theatre with their performance.

A representative from Woodside said: We were very proud of our children who were brilliant on the night. We were particularly proud of the SSF comments that our children really understand the language of Shakespeare, as this is integral part of the festival and learning for us. It was a wonderful evening with fantastic performances from all schools and a wonderful advert for Thurrock schools and Palmers College.
