Essex Fire and Rescue want your ideas for the future of the service

AS ESSEX County Fire and Rescue Service develops a series of options which will help make sure it’s ready to face the challenges of the next five years it’s asking the people of Essex to contribute their ideas for the future of the service.

In the new year the service will begin the second stage of its largest consultation involving specific options for change.

The first stage of consultation revealed that there is strong support for the service developing a greater role in prevention while ensuring that a strong response capability remains at the core of the work carried out.

The next stage of the consultation will see ask people to give us their view on options for change.

The options are being developed right now and any Big Ideas sent in will be considered to be included in those options.

Acting Chief Fire Officer Adam Eckley said:

"We want everyone in the County to have an opportunity to have their say as we make the important decisions which will shape the future of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.

"We will carry out a major public consultation in the New Year but this is your opportunity to influence the options we will be consulting on so we want to hear from as many people as possible."

To get your idea heard fill in the 2020 Options template form found at: http://www.essex-fire.gov.uk/essex2020/2020_Options/[1]
