WEST Tilbury WI members and their visitors enjoyed a fun evening this month’s theme was commemorating Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday Celebration.
The committee were thanked for the excellent Afternoon Tea they had prepared, tables were laid with the best china for a welcome cup of tea, the sandwiches and a selection of cakes were delicious and a glass of champagne or fruit juice was offered.
Thanks also to Jane Woodman who made a very tasty fruit cake that was decorated to perfection.
President Joanne Phillips organised a beetle drive, Iris Crane and visitor Jax Harding the winners of this event. A Royal Quiz followed won by visitor Jackie Phillips.
Our birthday party this year will be changed to August and Strictly Come Dancing should give the WI a fun evening.
Raffle prizes were won by Joanne Phillips, Clare Gale, Margaret Ockendon.
