MAKE-up students at South Essex College are taking part in a spook-tactular challenge for Halloween.
Teaming up with Southend’s top alternative club night, Raged, students have been tasked with designing horror themed make-up for the DJs and staff working at the event.
Fashion, Theatre and Media Hair and Make-up Studies Level 3 students who all study at the College’s Thurrock Campus are currently experimenting and practising their gruesome designs.
The scary, fun and freaky make-up creations will need to be durable and applied in a short time, students have to take these points into account when coming up with their concepts.
Dee Newman, Raged Organiser, said: “We’ve invited students to design, create, and apply special FX make-up to the DJs and production crew on the day of the event. The College are helping us produce amazing make-up designs for a Halloween fancy dress party to remember!”
The Raged Halloween event will take place on Saturday 29 October at Chinnerys, Southend. It’s a fancy dress club night playing alternative music like metal and rock. For more information about the night, visit www.facebook.com/ragednight
