The Royal Opera House celebrates ten years in Thurrock
What part have you played in the story?
The Royal Opera House Learning and Participation team is creating a special book of memories and reminiscences of the performances, projects and activities it has run over the last decade and it would love to include stories from as many people as possible.
Has being involved with ROH Thurrock inspired you or led you to do something you might otherwise not have done? Have you discovered a love for opera through a free Big Screen? Do you sing regularly now because of an event with us? Whatever your experience: a one-off event you particularly enjoyed, something you do regularly, a performance you participated in, the team would like to hear your story.
Send in your stories, memories and favourite moments in any way you like: a poem, a paragraph, a drawing, a song, the more creative the better. They can be named or anonymous and should be no more than 100 words in length.
Your contributions will be put into a memory book which will be on display during the tenth anniversary celebrations taking place at the High House Production Park in July. They will also be shared on social media.
If you have a memory to share, please email your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org by 3rd July, or deliver to: ROH Learning and Participation, The Vinery, High House Production Park, Vellacott Close, Purfleet RM19 1AF by Friday 23rd June either by post or in person.
The memory book will be displayed at the High House Production Park for everyone to enjoy from Wednesday 12 until Saturday 15 July. Everyone is welcome to visit the site to see the bunting and join in with the free BP Big Screen event on Friday 14 July at 7.30pm and the free Community Day on Saturday 15 July.
