Grays driver charged over traffic collision that has left cyclist with serious head injuries

A man has been charged following an RTC in Grays.

Officers were called at around 2.20am today (Saturday, June 24) to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist.

The cyclist, a teenage boy, suffered head and leg injuries.

He has been taken to hospital where his injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

Connor Nimmo, 20, of Highfield Gardens, Grays, has been charged with drink driving.

He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 13.

A 20 year-old man from Grays has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
