National Age Group Championships
TILLY Mayes and Martine Tran travelled to Sheffield to compete at this year’s Summer Age Group Swimming Championships.
Tilly participated in her first ever national championships with a nervous start in the 50m free-style. Unfortunately, Tilly missed the final by 100th of a second but improved her overall position by 7 places.
Her personal best now ranks her top 20 in the UK for her age group.
Martine, also competing in her first Summer Championships, improved her overall position by five places making the final of the 50m fly-over. In the final Martine finished in 10th place, and was just outside of her seasonal best.
A brilliant achievement for both swimmers and testimony to their dedication, the dedication of the coaching team and their families.
