Man whose death in South Ockendon sparked murder inquiry is named locally

A MAN whose death is the subject of a murder investigation in South Ockendon has been named locally as Daniel Adger.

YT understands that Mr Adger was originally from Tilbury.

Essex Police would not confirm or deny the identity of the deceased.

A spokesperson said: “We will not be confirming any names at this stage.

“We can confirm that a man, aged 35, from South Ockendon, died”.

Essex Police launched a murder investigation after Mr Adger died in South Ockendon on Monday.

Officers received reports that a man had suffered serious knife injuries in Eden Green, South Ockdendon, at around 1pm.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died upon arrival.

A section of the road has been cordoned off for forensic examination work. No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.

Anyone with information, CCTV close to the scene or was driving in the area between 12pm and 2pm and has dashcam footage is asked to call Harlow Major Investigation Team on 101.
