YOUR Thurrock is nine years old! Since launching on September 1st, 2008, we have produced close to 30,000 news stories that chronicle life in the borough of Thurrock.
In our first year, we only got 60,000 page views (eight on Christmas Day). Since then, we have continued to grow our readership to over two million page views a year.
We have over 10,000 likes of Facebook and 10,000 followers on Twitter.
Your Thurrock is run by just one journalist, working seven days a week but with the assistance of dozens of contributors and 160,000 people in the borough. We (I) could not do it without you!
So, we will now get on with the day. Stories to go up, court cases to attend.
