ESSEX Police would like to talk to this woman in connection with a burglary in Ward Avenue, Grays that happened at around 10am on Saturday, August 26.
A woman has knocked on the door of a property claiming to be a charity worker. She has asked for a drink before walking upstairs and taking items of jewellery.
She then left the house.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact DC Mark Cotgrove at Grays CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
If someone you don’t know knocks at your door always ask for identification – all genuine callers will have ID and won’t mind you asking to see it.
If you’re still not sure, ask them to come back another time and don’t feel pressured into letting someone into your home you don’t want them there.
