Thurrock health bosses want your views on orthodontic services

NHS England is calling on people to share their views, experiences and suggestions for orthodontic services in the East of England.

Orthodontic treatment (usually with braces) is most often used to improve the appearance and alignment of crooked, protruding or crowded teeth and, to correct problems with the bite of the teeth.

NHS England Midlands and East is responsible for buying orthodontic services and for ensuring that these services meet the needs of patients in Thurrock and the whole of the East of England region. The team will begin shortly the process of commissioning (buying and managing) orthodontic services which will come into effect from March 2019. As part of the process, they would like to hear your views on what services should look like.

NHS England Midlands and East are keen to hear from people that are currently using orthodontic services or have experienced services recently. The survey will run until Wednesday 03 January 2018 and all replies will be anonymous. For patients who are under the age of 18, the questionnaire can be completed by a parent, guardian or responsible adult, if appropriate.

For more information and to complete the survey, visit the NHS England Consultation Hub.
