A MAN has been charged in connection with a road traffic collision in which two pedestrians were injured.
A 65-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl were taken to hospital following the collision in Coronation Avenue, East Tilbury, on Wednesday, May 16.
Liam Jones, 25, of Markhams Chase, Laindon, has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has also been charged with failing to stop after a collision, aggravated vehicle taking, drink-driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, May 19.
