Men charged over Tilbury and Horndon burglaries

TWO men have been charged in connection with two incidents in which homes were broken into in Horndon-on-the-Hill and Tilbury.

Wesley Williams, 32, of Edwin’s Mead in Lindisfarne Way, Hackney, has been charged with robbery. It follows an incident in which a home in the Horndon Road area of Horndon-on-the-Hill was broken into in the early hours of September 27, 2017.

Barry Douglas, 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery in connection with the same incident.

He has also been charged with aggravated burglary at an address in Portsea Road, Tilbury, on September 18, 2017; possession of cannabis with intent to supply; and possession of cocaine.

Both are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, August 11.

ESSEX Police have arrested two men in connection with two aggravated burglary in the Thurrock area.

A 32-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Homerton, were arrested at around 5.10am today, Friday, August 10, on suspicion of aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

They remain in custody for questioning.

The arrests follow an aggravated burglary in Portsea Road, Tilbury, on Monday, September 18, 2017, and an aggravated burglary off Horndon Road, Horndon-on-the-Hill, overnight on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
