MEMBERS of the Amazon team brought their family and friends along to an outdoor party that featured fairground rides, face painting, BBQ food and bouncy castles.
Team members in all areas of the fulfilment centre got involved, including day and nightshift teams that work in receiving of products, stowing, picking, packing, shipping, quality and finance.
The event was organised to say thank you to the team at Amazon in Tilbury for the great work they do for customers. Prajvin Prakash, General Manager at Amazon Tilbury commented on the day’s festivities, saying:
“We had a brilliant day and it was great to see so many of our team and their families enjoying themselves in the sunshine. Events like this are the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation to everyone for their efforts.
“We enjoyed the summer with plenty of laughs, good food and fairground fun. I’d like to take the chance to say a big thank you to the Amazon Tilbury team and the families that came along to join in.”
Amazon team member, Paul Atkins-Barker, added:
“The summer event at Amazon is always one of the best in the year because everyone brings their family and friends along and there’s a great buzz about the place. This year was no exception, the activities were brilliant and there was a little bit of something for everyone. The great entertainment, lovely food and wonderful atmosphere really made the day special.”
