THE next Grays Beachcomber Litter Pick will be held on Sunday 7th October from 10:30 to 12:00 meeting at the Thurrock Yacht Club in Thames Road. Once again this will be followed by a free bacon roll and a drink in the Lightship Cafe.
Once again we will be removing plastics along the foreshore before it gets an opportunity to wash into the ocean.
Last Wednesday we held a pick, on this occasion beside the Graffiti Wall at West Thurrock. Once again the sun shone but we did not manage to spot the beluga whale… perhaps we will have more luck at Grays Beach on Sunday!
Nine amazing volunteers picked 37 sacks of plastic and aerosol paint cans including 148 single use plastic drinks bottles.
