Two men arrested over drug offences in South Ockendon

TWO men have been arrested after officers stopped a car in South Ockendon and found suspected drugs.

Officers were carrying out patrols and stop checks as part of Operation Sceptre, last week’s national crackdown on knife crime, when they stopped the Ford Focus in South Road on Saturday 16 March.

They found suspected drugs, a four figure sum of cash and drugs paraphernalia.

An 18-year-old man from Stanford-le-Hope was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug, and a 33-year-old man from Coventry was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Both have been released under investigation while we continue our enquiries.

  1. Go to any Thurrock town and your find drugs being sold, even in the high streets. In fact you can buy drugs easier in Thurrock than you can cigarettes. First stop, try the Barbers.

  2. Cigs are easy too, see the old boy hovering around the town as he takes his orders before the delivery takes place, cafes and Morrison car park are the venues, me I don’t smoke.
