FOLLOWING on from their successful Cheese and Wine tasting evening in July, Bulphan WI have a full and varied programme lined up for the coming year.
Members will be making poppies on 14th August, ready to decorate the lynch gate at the village church in November, this will also be a social event with bring and share plates of savoury food. To mark NFWI’s Performing Arts week in September members will be performing songs, skits and poetry to entertain, amuse and delight those attending the meeting on 11th of that month. October 9th, will see members having a go at Belly Dancing for Beginners, back to crafting in November when on the 13th a selection of Christmas Crafts will be available for members to try.
A Christmas Celebration will take place on 11th December, with carols, quiz, entertainment and much more!
2020 starts with an historical talk titled Fortitude and Fancy at the 8th January meeting. February 12th is the In-House Auction, always a fun filed meeting with many a bargain to be had. On 11th March the South Woodham Ferrers Bell Ringers will be along to entertain members, who will no doubt want to have a go ringing a few tunes themselves. 8th April is Bulphan WIs 91st birthday party, this is a member and invite only event. May 13th it’s the Annual Meeting and Resolutions vote evening, always an enlightening and informative meeting.
Along with each monthly meeting members will be meeting up for trips to the theatre including Mamma Mia, panto at the Cliffs Pavilion, cookery demonstration at Waitrose, afternoon tea and tour at Tiptree Farm, along with their film club, darts team, walking netball and many other activities it looks like being another busy year at Bulphan WI.
