USP College welcomed the Mayor, Councillor Terry Piccolo, members of the William Palmer Educational Trust, Governors and staff to the official opening of their brand new A-Level Centre of Excellence at their Palmer’s Campus.
The new A-Level Centre is a designated study area for A-Level students complete with spaces for group work, individual study, a debating/presentation area and a mindfulness section.
USP College Principal, Dan Pearson said: “I would like to thank the William Palmer Educational Trust who have funded the project and made this all possible.
“Spaces like this will encourage lecturers to deliver and learners to learn with flexibility. Curriculum should not be static and predetermined but adaptable and dynamic, enabling colleges and teachers to take account both of changes in the external environment and the needs of individual learners.”
USP College are on a journey to create learning spaces that encourage creativity and innovation. From Immersive rooms and College company spaces to the new A-Level Centre and, coming soon, a digital and virtual reality centre.
