ESSEX Firefighters were called to a garage fire in Elmstead Close, Corringham earlier on Monday evening.
On arrival, crews reported that a garage, and a car inside it, was completely alight.
Crews extinguished the fire by 7.36pm.
A man suffered burns and was left in the care of the Ambulance Service after receiving first aid from firefighters.
An investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
