ESSEX Police are investigating a serious assault which was reported to us in Argent Street, close to Thames Road, Grays, shortly after 8.30pm last night, Wednesday 6 July.
It was reported that a man aged in his 30s had sustained a serious head injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.
Thankfully, his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening or life-changing.
No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing. Although our investigation is in its early stages, we believe this incident to be isolated and there is no wider threat to the Grays community.
