ON Saturday, a 67 person foreshore clean-up team braved the cold and collected 86 sacks of rubbish including 257 plastic bottles at the Concrete Barges in Rainham . They also found car wheels, tyres, dustbins and of course another fire extinguisher that had floated down the river.
The next events will be as follows:
Sunday 3rd February– meeting at Grays Yacht Club RM17 6JF at 10:30 to 12:00 followed by free refreshments in the café. This is the Grays Beachcombers regular monthly pick. This is a family friendly event suitable for accompanied children 6 years and older.
Wednesday 20th February– meeting at Wharf Hotel, Wharf Road South, Grays RM17 5YX at 10:30 to 12:30. This is a mid-week adult only event.
