FIRE CREWS were called to a broken gas main in Church Road, Bulphan on Saturday night.
The gas board had been requested to the incident.
A safety cordon had been placed around the gas main and a number of residents have been evacuated as a precaution.
Update at 22:29hrs:
Fire crews made the area safe and left the incident in the care of the gas board and police.
