TROUBLED Grays nightclub Entourage has put up the To-Let sign above its premises.
Since it opened in 2008, seemed embroiled in controversy with incidents occuring both inside and outside the club just off Grays High Street.
The tipping point for the authorities was the large scale disturbance in November last year which saw several police officers injured.
The club has been closed since then. The proprietors were given a series of stringent conditions by Thurrock Council Licensing Committee.
The outside of the club appears very shabby with the signs rusting and graffiti beginning to appear. But the “To Let” sign does advertise for a 12,000 sq feet nightclub.
With the “To Let” sign going up, industry insiders believe that once again a nightclub in Grays has failed to be successful.
Many believe that it is only with the regeneration of the area including The State that any success for a night-time economy can be achieved.
Everytime a night club is opened in this building it has been the casuse of trouble from drugs to fights maybe the council should now take a long hard look at this building and reject any new applications for it to be reopened as a club.
