Police are appealing for information following incidents at a football match between Newton Wesley and Stifford Clays at Aveley on Monday, March 22.
Officers were called about 9.30pm after reports of fighting between players and supporters, which is believed to have started after a player was sent off. On police arrival those involved in the brawl had left the scene, however one person had to be treated for minor injuries by ambulance staff.
There were also reports of items being taken from the changing rooms, including car keys and mobile phones and a car was stolen.
The Football Association has been informed and police enquiries are ongoing.
Police are collating information about the incident and have appealed for any witnesses or further victims of crime to contact them at Grays or South Ockendon CID on 0300 333 4444.
