THE MYSTERY of the unexplained death of a 59-year-old man in Darnley Road, Grays deepened as the inquiry enters it’s third week.
The man was found dead on sunday may 16th after neighbours alerted the police as to their concerns.
YourThurrock understands that the man had not been seen for several weeks.
Despite a post-mortem, the identity of the man had not been released although yourthurrock has learned that the man was known to social services and in receipt of community care by Thurrock Council.
A spokesman for Thurrock Council said: “The safeguarding procedures ensured Thurrock Council was informed of this incident and the council is co-operating with the police investigation.”
Police remained at the scene for over a week, collecting evidence and conducting enquiries in the area.
