A man from Grays has been charged with causing death by careless driving in connection with a fatal collision in the town on Friday, February 19, which resulted in the death of pedestrian Barry Baker.
The collision happened in Whitehall Lane shortly before 6pm when Mr Baker, 52, from Grays, was struck by a white Ford Transit van.
The 38-year-old man has been released on police bail to appear before magistrates in Basildon on October 28.
