Cancer research walk at Treetops a great success

A 24-HOUR relay is being held in memory of three friends who died within a year of each other.

THE REGULARS at the Oak public house in Lodge Lane,Grays were determined that Kim Wilson-Mead, 39, John Bolton, 56, and Maureen Ellis, 63, would never be forgotten after they all fell to cancer within a short space of time.

So, recently, led by Sean Ellis, they organised a 24-hour relay on the Treetops school fields. Residents turned up in their droves to take part, in an even that had a great party feel.

YT walked a few laps and spoke to Sean about the great day.
