Armed robbery at convenience store on Orsett Heath


OFFICERS investigating an armed robbery in Grays yesterday (Friday, June 9) are appealing for information.

Police were called to a convenience store in Heath Road, Orsett, at around 8pm, following reports that two boys had entered the store and threatened staff.

The suspects, who were described as black and aged between 14 and 17 years old, had their faces covered during the incident.

It is believed one may have been carrying a small, black handgun, and the other a knife. They were also described as carrying a red, plastic bag.

The store’s alarm was set off and the suspects then left the scene. Nothing was taken and nobody was injured.

Enquires are ongoing.
