A GRAYS businessman has been charged with a number of offences including being in possession of over £340,000 in criminal property.
Platinum Ramidey, aged 35, of Cochrane Drive, Dartford has been charged with the following.
Between 01/06/2011 and 07/10/2011 at Grays committed fraud in that you dishonestly made a false representation, namely purchased goods online using a fraudulent credit card, intending to make a gain, namely the acquisition of the goods, for yourself
On 24/06/2011 at Grays acting together with Caroline Aramide, had in your possession or under your control an article, namely fraudulent birth certificates, for use in the course of or in connection with a fraud
On 24/06/2011 at Grays acting together with Caroline Aramide, acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely purchased goods fraudulently from The Welly Shop, Ardwear and Little Pumpkin
Between 18/12/2012 and 09/01/2013 at Grays acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely £342,000
Between 18/12/2012 and 09/01/2013 at Grays concealed, disguised, converted, transferred or removed criminal property, namely £342,000, by means of purchasing high value goods and withdrawing and transferring monies.
Ramidey has been remanded in custody.
He makes his next appearance at Basildon Crown Court on November 10th.
