South Essex College students put on dance demonstration

Dance SouthSouth Essex College Dance students put on a dynamic dance demonstration for visitors.

THE students, who are part of the College’s Dimensions Dance Company, performed a variety of work such as jazz, ballet, contemporary and tap to show the range and depth of styles taught on the course.

Performed over three consecutive nights at the College’s Grays Campus, the show included Level 2, 3 and HND Dance students.

Lucy Heale, Dance Lecturer, said: “This is now our fourth year of the dance demo, and with each year the company has evolved and grown .

“The dance demo allows each student to celebrate their own journey and progress over the first term.”

She added: “It is a massive undertaking for our students, who not only have to contend with performing to audiences but for some in genres of dance they have only begun to study. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them.”
